After taking many, many pictures with my NIkkon D70 on my Sandisk Extreme III 4 GB at the tulip farm I came home and slid it into my card reader and received a message that there was nothing on the card. I put it back into the camera, viewed the pictures, plugged the camera into the computer and got nothing. I have used this card before, and the readerso I tried another card in the reader and it works fine. What is wrong with the card and why can't I get the pictures on the computer? Thanks for any help, Dawn
I'm not surewhere it goes wrong, but please ask someone else if you can use their computer to download your pictures. Or if you have an other card, check if you can make pictures and save some from that card, before you lose the pictures you really want to save.
On your card you should check all golden connections if nothing like dust is on one. And only AFTER YOU DID SAVE the pictures, try to format the card in the camera before reusing. But there always can be an error in your computer or in the USB connector.

Did you try formating with the Camera? Before that, Try formating with Windows Disk manager, then format with the camera, It will solve the problem.

Observe the connector inside camera, using a flashlight. If there is a bent pin take the camera to service immediately. Don't turn it on any more as we did in one similar case - creating a short circuit that damaged the camera electronics and voided the warranty.
If no visible problems, remove battery and leave it out overnight.

I had this same issue added music to my card did a safe remove from my comp. placed in phone and it stated "No memory card inserted" and wont read in adapter in computer Im so Sad i lost all my pics/memories :( it just means that the Card is Fried (Burnt Out) no way to fix this their just like SIM cards In 3G phones and if the copper bars get scratched or bent just the slightest bit it kills the SD card.
