I just purchaced this RV.it has a elect. 3 position switch that has(on)on the top of the switch & (on) on the bottom of the switch.confuses me copletely. my girlfriend disconnected the water without turning off the switch that controls the electric side of the heater. i noticed this several days later. i connected the water supply & waited several hrs . i got maybe 10sec.s of hot water then it goes cold , so i flip the switch & wait. same thing 10sec of hot water then cold.i try the gas side of the heater, it ignites & runs for a period of time. the water is hot at first then just warm. i put my volt meter on the solenoid just to see & they are only getting 9volts.

Manual Yes 12 volts may help. I can't see anything about your switch from this manual

Testimonial: "thanks for your help.. i did hook a small 12v batt. with jumper wires. i disconnected the factory wires . it made lots of hot water. does that suggest that my problem mite be in the control board ? since im not getting a full 12v to the switches to operate properly ? do you think i need to replace the elect. element. i would prefer to operate elect. !!"

Go to the manufacturer's website and enter your model number and click on "Support" and there should be a FAQ's, Owners Manual or other support options for you. Otherwise the website may have a "Contact" phone number to call or a way to Chat online.

Have 10 gal. gas and electricatwood Gas works. no elect. with switches on and lights on. has motor aid that works.Where is the element access?

ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE WATER HEATER IS A METAL BOX HELD ON WITH 2 NUTS. UNDER THERE YOU WILL FIND THE "BIG" NUT THAT THE ELEMENT IS AFFIXED TOO.

Atwwod 10 gal gas/elec water heater won't work on elec.

THE LIGHTED SWITCH SHOULD BE THE 12V ENERGY SOURCE TO ACTIVATE THE LP SIDE OF THE HEATER. THERE SHOULDN'T BE A LIGHTED SWITCH FOR THE 110 SIDE. THERE SHOULD BE A SWITCH OR A COMBINATION OF SWITCHES. ONE ON THE WALL LIKE A LIGHT SWITCH AND ONE MOUNTED BEHIND THE HEATER.
