No water comes through the water dispenser on the front of the freezer door. Ice is produced fine (crushed and whole). I have replaced the filter and that has not helped. The fridge is hard to pull out so hoping i can resolve from the front of the fridge.
If you are making ice then the chances are that the solenoid or the switch mechanism is bad on the water side. The water valve has two solenoids that control water flow. The icemaker side is control by the cam switch that rotates on cycling ice drops and the water side is controlled by the door switch which operates the water valve. If you hear the click when you activate the door switch, listen to see if you hear a clicking near the back of the refrigerater when you hit the switch. There is also a possibility that the water inlet screen is clogged with debris.
