Try defrosting, it might be touching ice build up. you can check by pressing the knob switch in front after defrosting one day

It sounds like the you have the problem of the fan blades hitting ice build-up. You can unplug your fridge for 2-days with the doors open to give it time to completely melt any ice build-up. Also, Samsung now offers a larger aluminum heat sink (drain probe) for about $10 that can help prevent freezing of the drain hole on the fridge side. This will help keep your cooling coils and fins from freezing-up. Remove the shelves and drawers to access the inside back cover of the fridge side. Remove the screws holding the back panel and the new larger drain clip will replace the old smaller drain clip located at the bottom behind the back wall. The part is: Samsung Part# DA61-06796A Evaporator Drain Clip

What happened to my Samsung RS255BASB is a loud noise coming from the back of the fridge, one third the way up. sounds like a bad fan/ grinding fan. from the inside it's behind the area where there are...

The sound is of the fan touching the liner. They only way out is to change the bearing. And temporarily you can tap the area where the noise is coming from. When the fan straightens out the noise will stop. But this is not the remedy.

It is making a buzzing noise on freezer side that stops when u open the door but starts again when u close it

On some models of refrigerators, the evaporator fan (behind an access panel at the top of the freezer) shuts off when the door is opened. This fan may be making the buzzing sound.

You should be able to check by pushing in the door switch while holding the door open. The fan should come on; and, if the buzzing resumes, you know what is making the noise. The fan may be developing a problem. If it stops running, the cold air will not be distributed properly between the freezer and refrigerator.

Noise on the ice maker

I think you are having the same issue that I am having. My noise is being caused due to ice build up around the fan inside the freezer. There is a switch when you open the door that causes the fan to shut off, hence the reason the noise stops when you open the door.

I pulled the cover (just below the ice maker) and removed the ice that had built up. Only problem is that after three days the noise is back. I think there may be a bigger problem that is causing the ice to build up around the fan.

Loud humming noise as fridge is running

Sounds like the freezer fan is rubbing some wires or possible some foam insulation around the fan. I would look into the freezer compartment fan and go from there. The fan Will Shut off when you open the doors. Let me know how you make out and if you need anymore help.

Thanks,
Bill
