Jvc hd61z575 61in. rear projection tv won't come on

I have a rear projection tv model Jvc hd-61z5785 614in.

I was watching a program and left the room for a minute but when I returned the screen was black and the power led and the light led were both flashing together. When attempting to turn off or on the power led comes on as normal and the fan comes on as normal but then the light led comes on the fan stops and both the light led and the power led both flash on and off together. Can't stop them from flashing unless I unplug the set.

The problem is your lamp, the same thing happened to me. Look out for a green hue on the L/H side of the screen after replcing the lamp. That' what happened tomine.

Ok you have defective power supply in hotside section! maybe they have abnormal oscillation!

61 inch projection tv flashing on and off

The most common problem with JVC LCD rear projection TV is bulb failure. Do not panic, this is normal after 2-5 years of use.

You can change the complete assembly or for less cost just change the bulb. Do not use Osram or other funny brand "rebuilt" or locally made bulb. Use a Philips replacement and all should be good.

Changing the bulb involves removing the lamp assembly and taking it apart like a puzzle and replacing the bulb. JVC are a little more difficult to do than most others because the wires on the original bulb are molded into the glass on the original bulb. Wires must be cut and stripped of insulation before connecting to the new bulb.

All JVC LCD Rear projections TVs use TSCL110 TSCL110U TS-CL110U Lamps.
