I just put together a Peg perego Polaris RZR ride on toy and it will go forward, but not reverse. The light showing a full battery goes OFF when I try to put it in reverse. Any ideas? Is there a loose wire perhaps?

remove the battery and black plastic panel and this will give you access to shifter switch, please verify that all of the connecters are connected to the bottom of the shifter switch

does the battery look like its swollen?

start by checking the red and white wires at the pedal for 24 volts

check the battery with a multimeter and make sure that its putting out at least 24 volts

hi, its probably the forward/reverse switch. if it got wet its possible it failed or was just bad from the start. it should still be under warranty...call peg perego USA Ride-On Vehicle Customer Service: (800) 728-2108 . they have great customer service usually, just let them know how disappointed you are with such an expensive vehicle. how long does the battery last? they are usually pretty sensitive to batteries not meeting expectations and might send you another one.

remove the center cap and then bend the wire push nut in half with a needle nose pliers

2 screws under the passenger side seat. The whole seat will come off.
