I have to flip breakers off to start my fdb1050rec2 dishwasher

Follow up to my Jun 02, 2008 post. We had a service tech come out today, and it turned out that the door switch was bad. The neutral side had continuity with the door shut, but the hot side was sporadic. A new switch has been ordered.

According to the Frigidaire tech sheet attached to the door, which is located beneath the control panel and behind the door skin, the problem could potentially be a bad control panel also.

When I turn on the dishwasher, the light on program 6 flashes but the program will not start.
Pull the power plug or turn off the circuit breaker for about 30 seconds, plug it back in or turn the breaker on and the diswasher brain should have reset. Good Luck.

Hello bidness_67 please check inside of the sink cabinet look for a switch on the back wall. If there is one flip it. Many new building electrical codes require a switchto turn off power to the dishwasher. Sometimes when putting items in the cabinet the switch is hit unknowingly. If there is no switch check outlets (the GFCI ones)and press the reset then check the dishwasher.if not those two items check breaker box for a tripped breaker.
