I have a Zeiss Conquest 4.4-14X50MC. I have no visibility at dust and dawn. I can see Deer with my Leupold 10X42 Binoculars, but not the scope. The scope is fine in the daylight. If I can see it the scope can also. My Bushnell 4200 3-9X40,Swift 4-12X40 and Leupold 3.5-10X40 VerI 111 all have better visibility at dust and Dawn.Is this all the scope will do or is their a place to have this checked. Thanking You in advance John Thomas 843-992-7098
That is quite surprising because Zeiss makes very good scopes and the optical quality is quite exceptional. You are an experienced hunter and you have other scopes to compare, so I believe that things like checking to be sure that a lens cap is removed has been checked. If you need service you can contact an authorized dealer such as http://www.rcsoptics.com/zeiss-scopes or http://www.zeiss.com alternately you may call Zeiss direct at 800-441-3005

IT MEANS THAT YOUR PHOTO EYE IS EITHER NOT WORKING OR NOT ADJUSTED PROPERLY. SOMETIMES THERE ARE SETTINGS ON THEM THAT LET YOU ADJUST WHEN THE PHOTOEYE KICKS THE LIGHT ON ND OFF. IF THERE ARE NO ADJUSTMENTS THEN I WOULD JUST BUY A NEW LIGHT FOR THE PRICE OF A NEW PHOTOEYE.
Dawn...Dawn...Dawn! What am I going to do with you? Do you expect me to tell a Lady how to crawl up into the attic (or basement) and go in with all the DUST! Dirt and spiders! Just to clean the Heating/Cooling coils?! Do yourself a favor. Spend the $100 and have a HVAC (Air Conditioning) service your heat pump. Sears will do it. Tell them you DON'T want to buy a New one!!! Be assertive! They will tell you EXACTLY what is wrong. You may have a bad thermocouple (fancy name for a copper wire device that detects when to shut off and on) to bad valve that is stuck open too much! Stop guessing here. These units are complicated. Tons of wires and the blower fan gets clogged up with dust. I took one apart and vacuumed it out and it made all the difference! You DON'T want to do that Mi-Lady! Ask at Home Depot, Angie's List, Or the back of the Phone Book has Coupons for just this issue
Yes ! The headlight is more than cracked, which is allowing moisture in. the sensor is not part of the headlight {dust to dawn operation}. If you replace headlight. You will have no problem with operation of lights.
Here is how it works. The push button repeats itself in following sequence (must plug in). F 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A d 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
F: timer is off. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9: from dusk to dawn count down number of hours repeated every day. That's most useful to control outdoor lightings. A: from dusk to dawn count down number of hours which is randomly selected by this timer. Which is usually for indoor use to turn lights on and off for number of hours. The randomly selected hours is a security feature so that lights on (on from dust, but off randomly) time shows no pattern to outsiders. d: just on from dusk and off at dawn. It is also used to control outside lights but just a little wasteful in my opinion. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.: meaning count down number of hours starts from the time when the button is pushed so that you can have a countdown timer at any time.

The test 1, 5, 20 switch is for how long you want light to stay on after it is activated.
the dusk to dawn should be set on that.
The range is how far away you want it to be able to be tripped.
So put it on 5, dust to dawn and middle range.
Also make sure there is not a plug over the photo electric eye.
