My Marantz VP-15S1 bulb burned out (with 775 hrs remaining). The bulb was replaced with an LU-12VPS3 replacement bulb/housing unit. It worked fine for about 2 hours and quit working. When I pulled the replacement bulb/housing from the projector, I noticed that the tip of the center "stalk", where the wire enters the tip, appears to be broken. Do you have any idea why the replacement bulb would go out so quickly? Thank you.

I just installed new lamp in marantz vp4001 projector and when it starts lamp comes on very dimmly displays WARMING UP for about 2 seconds then shuts back down with standby flashing red light

My first question is was it a Genuine Marantz replacement bulb, or simply a bulb advertised as "compatible".

There are an overwhelming number of bad luck stories about Marantz owners trying to save a few dollars by purchasing non-Marantz bulbs, and they always regretted it.
Usually the bulbs work for a brief time and then don't work.

I would urge you, if you did buy a bogus "compatible" bulb, to buy a genuine replacement.

Adc 4000 turntable will not spin

I don't know without looking it up, but if your table is belt driven, pull up the rubber mat by the motor pulley and see if the belt is still on. I don't know what you mean by "tonearm clutch" belt. I sorry, but you'll have to explain a bit better. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

How wiring diagram for christmas lights work

All the bulbs in a section of lights are connected in series, meaning one after the other, like links in a chain. If one bulb goes out the chain is broken and that section goes out. All modern light sets have bulbs which have a built-in feature called a shunt. The shunt in the bulb is supposed to short out if the bulb filament burns out. The advertising wording would be something like 'if one bulb burns out, the others stay lit'. It usually works, but there are limits. Sometimes the shunt in the burned-out bulb fails to work and the chain remains broken. You have to find the bad bulb and replace it. Also, every time a bulb burns out, if the shunt is working and the other bulbs stay on, the power to each remaining lit bulb increases. This puts a strain on the remaining bulbs, which is why you should always replace burned out bulbs as soon as you discover them. If you don't and more bulbs in the same section burn out, you can reach a point where there's too much power for the remaining bulbs to handle, and all (or at least many) of the remaining bulbs will burn out, necessitating a replacement of the string.

Lights dont come on the sliders.

The miniature light bulbs have probably burned out or the power supply circuit to them is not working if it is an older unit; on a newer unit, the leds are probably bad or the power supply to them is not working and will have to be replaced or repaired.

My Marantz 6110 will not shut off-turntable keeps spinning after arm returns

My Marantz 6110 wasn't working right. I had it repaired at a stereo store. They told me the grease was old and had hardened which made it difficult to operate the way it was supposed to. They cleaned it and used new grease. It's been working great for the last 10 years. I hope this helps.

Lamp replaced 1.5 years ago, now the picture goes out but comes back on every few minutes, as if it gets to hot and needs to cool down. Fan comes on.

Lamps only last for 5,000 hrs -8,000 Playing hrs
It means every hour you Play TV Lamp burns up the hours, so after 5,000hrs on most Lamp needs replacing, some Lamps dont even last this long DLPs are not like Projection you can play them 24-7 and Tubes will remain good, But Lamps are like a light bulb they all burn out after so many hours.
Best thing is to turn TV off if you are not watching it, in order to Save Hours burt on Lamp.
Mats has Lamps for $99.00 1-800-628-1118

NEC projector LT220 - replaced bulb, works for 1.5 hrs then switches itself off

Hi Matt

There might be a couple of reasons for this problem.

Best is to start with the lamp - return the lamp to whoever you bought it from and insist on a another new one.

If the problem still occurs you should rather take the unit to a repairer - because it could be the Mainboard or the Ballast ( lamp's powersupply ) that is faulty and will need replacement or repair.

Check if your unit is under warranty - because the replacement of a Mainboard is quite expensive.
