Under no circumstances provide your real ID. THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!! your account had been hacked and locked out from the intruder's end. This is an attempt to steal your identity!!!! You can always restore your account by contacting Facebook support. https://www.facebook.com/help/
1 Open your account settings. Log in to Facebook and click the Gear icon in the top-right corner of the page. Select "Account Settings".
To access this on the mobile app, click the menu button in the top-left corner and scroll down to Account Settings. Select General, and then tap Name.
2 Click on your name to open the name editor. You can enter a First, Middle, and Last name, as well as an Alternate name (such as a nickname or maiden name).
Your name can only be changed four times.
Facebook wants you to list your name as it appears on your credit card or ID.
You cannot use symbols, numbers, random capitalization, or punctuation.
Your middle name cannot be words or phrases.
Nicknames should be variations on your real name (Jim instead of James, Meg instead of Megan, etc.)[1]
3 Enter your real name. Facebook does not allow you to impersonate someone else, or create a page for a fictional character. Accounts found in violation of this will be forced to change the name.
If you want to create an account for an organization, business, or a pet, you will need to create a Facebook Page.
4 Enter your password. To change your name, you will need to enter your password into the box before you are allowed to save your changes.
5 Click Save Changes. Your new name will be saved, and the change will reflect on your Profile shortly. It can take up to 24 hours for a name change to be approved
Facebook account password can be change by logging in Facebook and clicking that you"forget your password" the processed will take you to acquire your new password via your email address. But if your own email is compromised it would be impossible to retrieved your email account unless you have secondary mail. Be careful to give others information about your email account.
No, you did not lose your original Facebook account...you just created a new one. I personally have 4 Facebook accounts, 1 is my real name and all...the others are for Facebook gaming.
To get your old account back, just log into it. If you forgot your logon info, just hit the link for "forgot password" to get a reminder sent to your email.
Sorry to say, but there is no way for Facebook to confirm you as the real you since your email no longer exists. They need to send you a confirmation email typically and since they can't, the only solution is to create a new account. Facebook is not good at responding to their customer service emails. You should also try to post your question in their "help center" section or look through already asked questions.. there may be a better solution there.
