Sounds like an ice maker problem. Can you advance the ice maker? Is it a whirlpool style ice maker? As long as the water line from the valve to the ice maker is clear it must be either the ice maker or the optics (if so equipped).
If the problem is only that you don't have any flow of water in ice maker then you should check the water solenoid, the water filter if its cogged or water container if it is frozen,
In any case the Ice maker is abot $140
This usually means the water inlet valve that feeds the ice maker is bad. It can bypass a small amount of water and that water runs so slow that it freezes in the tube you are clearing.
The valve I am talking about is behind the frig on the bottom, it should be blue in color.
To clear the ice from the tube use hot water and a turkey baster, or a hair dryer.
you have a bad water valve on the back of the machine,it's not totally shuting the water down, the water that is trickling through is freezing up on you
You have to close the water supply tap from the source a little. This will decrease the volume of water being pumped into the ice maker. If this doen't work then you need to replace the solenoid valve that feed the water to the ice maker.
the inlet water valve has a screen on the inlet in the valve which is probably clogged - replace the inlet water valve with a new one, install a ice maker water filter in the water line feeding the ice maker!
