After 3 months, my Haier dehumidifier made a loud clicking sound

At 3 months old the dehumidifier made a loud clicking noise when turned on. The sound went away after about 30 seconds. I went to work for 8 hours. When I returned, there was black plastic particles approximately 3 inches long all over the room. I looked in the top of the unit and the same broken pieces were in the unit. I'm guessing the fan is black plastic, and apparently shattered to pieces. Does anyone know if this is easy to fix?

Noise

There are basically two moving parts, the fan and the compressor. It more then likely is the fan. Be sure the air path is clean and the fan blade does not hit anything. If it is the compressor I would suggest getting a new unit and using that one elsewhere for the short time it has left.

Frigidaire dehumidifier model # FDL50S1 clicking very loudly.

If the unit is not running fully, but you have this noise, sounds like the internal fan might be the culprit. Contact your manufacturer for further options.

Haier hd656e, my dehumidifier runs about 30 sec and turns off,

Hi,
This sounds like a main circuit board problem and is very common with many dehumidifiers... They can be replaced on some units. You can do a search online for the part easily...to see if it is available.

Unbearable noise

Mine does the same thing, for the third time. Seems the plastic fan on mine, lasts a little over a year. Not hard to change, just a bad design on the part. I'm ordering an extra tis time, to save on freight.

Humidifier not taking out water

I have the same problem. I have had the unit less than a month. Haier's policy is for me to pay $14.99 so they can send me another one. What a huge ripoff.
