I have a side by side refrigerator/freezer with water and ice dispenser in the freezer door. The top shelves of my refrigerator and freezer are warm while the bottom shelves are cold. The icemaker stopped making ice. I would appreciate any ideas/suggestions. Thank You

if the compressor goes off and only the fan keeps working thats broken fridg but fan is not a big energy drainer on bill if the compressor works allways it might be to hot in the room or door is not seald or totaly closed give it a strog push when closing or maybe you have under floor heating so you have to insulate bottom from heat or maybe its not insulatdd well from heat of compressor
Leaky dispenser------- Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.
Sounds like you have a defrost issue. Hence your unit is not defrosting. All of this apply's if your freezer side has ice . If not. you have other issues, this does sound funny, but this is why your refrigerator side is warm, or not cooling.
Here is a list of some things that can go wrong. 1. Defective heat coil 2. Defective defrost timer 3. Defective defrost sensor 4. Defective Fan 5. Defective compartment inlet damper (on some models)

Forget the warranty - it is only for the compressor and that is usually five years. Did you check for freezer temp - wet cubes indicates too warm up there. Water dispenser lines may be clogged.
If low temps you may have low refrigerant or a defrost mechanism not working - if not working there should be ice buildup on line entering the evaporator in back of compartment.
Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.

Does water in door dispenser taste bad? If not, Try arm and hammer fridge deoderizer. It will help to absorb fridge odors which may be clinging to water molecules in ice maker tray. Ice maker tray is open to freezer area.Water is very medium to infiltrate with odors. Try this first
