Husqvarna zero turn mower won't start

I have a Husqvarna zero turn mower that won't start...it just makes a clicking noise. It has less than 15 hrs usage, but has been sitting for over a year. Would this be a problem with the ignition or the starter? Thank

Usually if all you hear is a clicking noise, it is the solenoid itself that has gone bad...if you can jump the solenoid and the mower turns over, it is the solenoid.

Use a screwdriver to connect both terminals on the solenoid, if a screwdriver is not available, use anything that has an insulated grip.

I struggled with the same problem intermittently for years on a different Husqvarna tractor, and replaced most of the electrical system including the starter, solenoid, battery, and safety switches. Finally solved it. The grounding cable from the battery to the frame is attached using a bolt threaded into a hole in the frame with no nut. It had come loose. Tightening it fixed the problem temporarily, but it came loose again. Finally replaced the OEM bolt with a new bolt, lock washers and nut. Please note that the bolt for the grounding cable was most easily accessed after removing the battery and battery tray. I also found a similar problem with a thinner grounding wire that attaches to the frame on the left side below the oil fill tube on my tractor.

Husquarvanna zero turn mower, not starting, battery is good, new key switch, new solenoid, still won't click, fuses look good, the hour meter is blinking showing a battery sign, does not show hrs.

ZTRs typically require the following safeties to crank.

Brake ON
Steering arms out
PTO OFF

Some also require operator seat occupied but most Husqvarna do not. Cycle controls and try again.

The hour meter may not display unless engine is running.

Which model number?

Husqvarna wiring diagrams should be in the operators manual. Available free downloads from Husqvarna website.

How to stop check oil light from blinking and oil change been blinking 20 hrs after oil change

There is not a reset button. The gauge should blink for about 7-8 hours then stop. If yours continues to blink, it may be bad.

We just replaced the belt on the deck of our mower. After we reattached the deck, the mower won't start. It won't even turn over. We checked the safety latch on the back of the machine, and it...

First check your battery, it should be around 12.5 volts, if not it is the battery. Because you changed the deck belt, is the mower a manual engaged deck? Make sure the safety switches are working properly. Seat switch, brake switch. When trying to start, do you get 12 volts to the starter? If not, check the 20 amp fuse.

Check to see if you left the blades engaged. There is a safety switch that prevents starting with blades engaged. Easy to miss, happened to a friend of mine last month.
