Check the memory modules. Test one at a time to see if any of them is damaged. If you have only one, try a borrowed chip, or test yur modules in a borrowed laptop (it doesn't have to be the same brand/model, only the chips must be the same speed).

I had a similar problem with my satellite notebook. the problem was that it was overheating. what i did was pull the processor and heat sink out, it was covered in dust and not allowing air to go through the heatsink. i just cleaned it up and it stopped overheating.

SOURCE: X205-SLI1 17" Notebook PC PC Notebook 3 beep

Memory problem:

Sometimes when the computer is moved or over time a memory stick can become loose causing the computer to be unable to read the memory or get errors as it's reading it. Try fixing this issue by opening the computer removing each of the memory sticks you have in the computer and then placing them back into the computer.

If you have more than one stick of memory try removing all but one stick of memory and boot the computer. If this does not resolve the issue try removing that stick of memory and try one of the other sticks of memory.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

Satellite x205-sli1 will not boot black screen error beep 1long 2 short please help. Powers up good and reseated ram nothing.

Hi,

Thank you for sharing the beep code. It means that its a problem with the Video Card and Video Cards are usually buit-in to the Motherboard for laptops. The only way to fix it to replace the Motherboard in order to get the new Video Card. Hope I've helped you somehow.

I think when the tree beeps is on ..the blame is on the video card ..so unless you changed the video card as well you just made a wrong move ..The part that should be changed is either teh video card or the ram memory ..cause they are the only one that causes beeping when something is wrong ..So check the card it may be just not plugged well ..and the ram memory as well ..Unplug them ..and use them one by one and boot up and see how it behaves..Even if it is not enough ram in it for to run the operation system ..it should at least show the devices and the logo screen ..

Why the screen of x205-sli1 off when power on?

If there are 3 beeps when you power on, most probable it is because of the memory.
Steps for Troubleshooting

Note:remove any source of power first ...

1. Try removing the memory
2. Clean the memory using a white pencil eraser
3. Boot up the laptop without the memory
- You will hear a beep not like the 3 beeps you heard.
4. Turn off the computer again and put back the memory.
5. Then try booting up again.

Hope it helps.

Toshiba x205 Sli1 suddenly died. Got 3 beeps.

3 beeps usually means that either the chipset or the processor is dead. Nothing you can do, take it to a repair shop.

I gt power to the pc but it does not boot and the

well on the satellite x205 it could be a couple things. there isnt any beep code? if there is no beep code then it would need atleast a main system board. i worked on 2 last week but they had beep codes (3beeps) which were video cards. in your case pull each stick of ram, then if thats not the case order a main system board.
