Need help finding my serial number on my Acer laptop. There is a 22 digit number and a 7 digit number. Not sure which one to use
There would be lot of stips at the botom of your laptop but there would be one (white color) which starts with S/N or Serial.
That is your laptop serial number

On your laptop, it should be a sticker on the bottom that says everything. you could also look at your receipt.
Instructions for System
For Multimedia Computer Systems, eg. Acer Aspire, Acer Veriton or Acer Altos, the serial no. can be found on the bottom right side of the system.
The serial number is : 7 alphanumerics characters or 22 alphanumerics characters.

For Notebooks, the serial number is found in the under-side of the notebook.

For Monitors, the serial number can be found on the back.
The serial number is 22 alphanumerics characters. 
The serial number is located on the right hand side of the desktop tower near the bottom of the side panel on a white label with a 22 character serial number. On older systems the serial number may be located on the back or bottom of the case.The same white label will be located to the back side if its a laptop.You can also find it on the BOX.For 2010 laptop,it will also inside tha Battery Bay.
For desktops that shipped with the Microsoft® Windows® 7 Operating System, Acer provides an application entitled Identity Card, which can be used to display the serial number for your desktop.
