Date changes at mid day not at mid night.

Your watch is 12 hours out of step. The date changes ever second rotation of the hour hand.

If you advance the time 12 hours, the date will change at midnight.

You may have to re-set the date.

Hi, My watch is changing date at 12 noon instead

Your watch is 12 hours out of step. (The date changes every second revolution of the hour hand.)

Wind your watch forward 12 hours, (you may have to reset the date) and it will then change around midnight.

Don't know how to set the date except by winding the time dial repeatedly past 12 to get to present date--must be an easier way

I presume that you are winding the watch 24 hours to change the date.

You can shorten the time it takes to change the dates in the following manner:-

Wind the watch until the date changes, then turn it back until it passes 12 again and then turn it forward. Each time it passes 12 the date should increase by a day.

You may have to experiment to find how far past 12 in both directions to get the date to change.

How can I change the date without turning 24 hours ?

mcdevito75 here, Most day / Date or just date watches with a stem (winder) even if they are quartz have a 2 position stem. Smply slip a fingernail under the crown and lift to it"s first position, this should allow you to change the date with haveing to go the 24 hours but remember the date cahnges at 12--1 Midnite, Best bet, change the date to the date before the date you want then go the 24 hours this way the date will change at midnite and not 12 noon.

Help changing the date on my HYPE wrist watch The watch didnt' come with any instuctions. I don't know how to change the date. I have it on the correct day of the week but I can't change the date?

The date may have a mechanical change at midnight(ish).

f this is the case, take the watch past midnight and then wind it back to (say) 11 and then forward again. Repeat this until the correct date is achieved.

If you watch is an electronic type then press the mode button until the date change function appears (it is likely to be abreviated "DC ? perhaps" and then use one of the other buttons to advance or ****** the date as required. Some experimenting may be required.

Pulsar (Seiko) Watch Changes Date at different time.

mcdevito75 here, The manufacturer recommends you don"t try to change the date between certain hours as this could hurt the date changeing mechanism inside the watch, I don"t think you did any harm (LUCKY) and the date changeing 45 minutes before mid nite is just about right. BUT! if the date change was aliitle closer to mid nite at 1 time you can try to reset the date, here"s how, your stem should have 2 positions to change the date without haveing to cycle the watch the 24 hours 60 times. Slip a finger nail just under the crown and gently, gently lift the crown to it:s first position, it may take a little practise but you"ll get it, once you do, trun the crown and you should see the DATE change, if so set the DATE to 1 DATE before the DATE you want, now pull the stem out and set the correct gate and time of day. Your watch is now reset and date will change on time, around nid nite.

Set date

hello..this is not abig problem..just a sincronization one...ususlly I set the date around the 12 oclock in the night..the 0 hour..its easier...if you dont want to do this...well..then just count the hours ..remember you have the 24 hours /day..and remember the date is changing in the night around 12 oclock..
for instance...lets say..now you want to set the date..you count the hours until tonight at 12...you put it lets say...with 12 hours back..and wait the change in the midnight..
the easier way is to set it at midnight
oh...by the way..I saw watches which change the date around 2 oclock in the night..but this is a very small %...99% are set to do it at 12..
good luck

HOW TO CHANGE DATE

The Skagen watches have  two-step stem; fully pulled out will change the time and partially pulled out will change the date (only goes one way so try turning it counter-clockwise or clockwise - I forget which is correct).  It's easier to find the date length by extending it all the way and then go back toward the case.  It won't change the date if you run it through a 24-hour cycle - you have to do the half-way thing.  Hope this helps.
