The Frigidaire AEQ8000FE electric dryer is displaying the 50 and start/stop lights blinking randomly with periodic beeping. Pressing the control panel clears the issue, but it returns after a few minutes. Despite this issue, the dryer is working properly.
Usually when you first turn the power on ... it's usual to hear a couple of beeping sounds . And then, you may hear whirling/clicking sounds when your disk starts up (rotating) and your CD/DVD drive starts up, etc.. Then the monitor/screen lights up and starts to show the operating system (e.g. Windows) panel ... as it starts up.
If your system just beeps ... and beeps ... and beeps... and nothing else happens, the screen doesn't light up and show anything (for a few minutes), it likely the system is not starting up properly.
If you can clarify what actually happens, maybe I can offer more suggestions/information to help.
The SE indicates a short in the keypad membrane, but to cure this! the whole keypad control board should be changed if effort to resolve is decided, I would also suggest checking the pricing.
'F' for fault, 'dL' for door lock and you don't hear it operating. It's pretty clear there is a problem either with the lock operating solenoid (highly likely 'cos you don't hear it operate) or the door lock sensor (not so likely).
Either you need to replace it or it needs replacing by a service engineer. Sorry, no other option ;-0(
wow, that is so weird...i was just getting ready to write the exact same thing. this last time mine beeped, i just kept letting it beep for several minutes. if kept on. i then went in and pressed all the buttons except for cancel and nothing happened. then i pressed the oven light button. the beeping stopped. not sure if it's coincidence or if that was what i was supposed to press. i will keep messing with the buttons and let you know if i figure it out. i will dread if it beeps all night long.
I started the washer, ran a few minutes then got "DL" "f" problem.
I cannot unlock the washer even after holding end of cycle button for 3 seconds.
