I have a U-Line CLR2060 undercabinet ice maker. The unit will continue dumping batches but the interior temp never gets lower than 49 degrees F....so, ice melts about as quick as it is made. I have vacuumed the coils, but they weren't very dirty. The fan and compressor and drain pump all seem to work properly, just can't get low temp in storage compartment.

The storing compartment is not refrigerated so it will melt away the warmer ambient temperature the faster it will melt . also make sure there isn't something producing heat in the compartment

SOURCE: need to find cleaning solution for clr2060 ice maker. I live in

I recommend using National Chemicals Nickel Safe Ice Machine Cleaner. Catalog Number NS16OZ.

****Warning**** this is a professional product!

Refer to the units instructions on how and when to use the cleaner. Directions for the cleaner amounts are on the bottle.

Go to a local resturaunt supplier and ask if they have any.

Hope this helps and please rate this!

SOURCE: U Line CLR60 Ice Maker gets stuck in harvest mode & melts ice

have you got the equipment to change this solenoid valve? you will need a vacuum pump to evacuate the system once you have changed the valve, and the equipment to charge the system with refrigerant (gas).

SOURCE: uline ice maker clr2060- makes ice continuously,

This is a problem when the thermistor in your icebin is not being satisfied. Now there is a break in the serial number to find out if you have a thermistor or a mechanical thermostat. If the serial number is before 03 (first 2 digits is the year)and the 2 digits between the dashes is 11(the month) the replace the bin thermostat. If newer then you need to replace board and thermistors.

SOURCE: Ice maker (Uline) just stopped working, not freezing, no noise.

U-line does make compressors as long as its not a r12 system. As far as the icemachine turn breaker off for a couple of min then try it. If same results then it could be a board.

SOURCE: uline clr2060 produces little ice

First thing is to remove the water from the trough. Pull out the grey standpipe in the back of water trough. Then see if the grid has a good frost pattern. If the frost pattern is NOT even then you need a service call to check the sealed system. If you do have a frost pattern check to see if the water is splashing over or make sure the drain is in the bin drain hole.If water is getting in the bin then the ice can melt as fast as it makes it.Make sure your cleaning with U-line cleaner.

Can it be repaired-not making ice

Ice makers can be repaired. Sometimes it is cheaper and more cost effective to just replace the entire unit for about 50 dollars or less on ebay.

If the freezer temperature is not low enough your ice maker will make ice in tray but not empty it into the tray since the interior temp has to be about 10 degrees for the thermostat to activate the unload cycle.

If there is no ice in the tray perhaps the water line to unit is clogged or the solenoid that feeds the water to unit is malfunctioning. Or, maybe the cam mechanism of the ice maker that controls the solenoid is fubar.

Why is my Ice Maker in GE Refridgerator "leaking"?

We had this happen twice and both times it was the line that supplies the water to the ice maker. We had to change the line because it was made of plastic and had cracked.

Icemaker is not making any ice after freezer defrosting, how long should I wait ?

Normally a new batch of ice is produced every two hours or so. The ice maker will not eject any freshly made ice until the interior temp of freezer is about 10 degrees; at that point the thermometer will close and initiate the ice ejection and the other steps to make more ice.

No ice being made. water supply for drinking is OK. Model is about 3 years old. question: why no ice. does the automatic shut off arm control the water flow?

Hi there,

Well first of all you can check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off, Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat. Please reply if you need more help or information.......

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Too much ice, uint does not stop u-line CLR2060

The ice stops when the temperature reaches 34 degrees on the tube in the bin. If you have a airgap the sensor wont read the temperature properly. If you force the ice on that tube the icemaker should stop after it completes the cycle. If not. replace the board and thermistors.

Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

GE TBX21ji Refridgerator/Freezer Factory Icemaker quit making ice

Normally, when the temp of the icemaker gets to about 14 degrees F, the icemaker goes into the harvest mode, turning on the mold heater and attempting to eject the cubes. When the heater has warmed the mold sufficiently to release the cubes, the ejector can continue and push out the cubes, then the icemaker fills with fresh water to beging to make a batch of ice again. Manually starting the cycle as you have done only allows the cycle to start without the temp sensor seeing the 14 degrees. The mold heating generally takes a couple minutes. If your mold heater or the temp sensor are not working, you will have to replace the icemaker, as they are not available as a repair parts.

Hoshizaki KM-1600S too much water supply

If water is standing in the bin the drain is clogged. If water is raining down into the bin, Machine may not be level or the drain on the ice machine maybe partially clogged. If machine freezes up water will rain into bin too. Water fills ice machine while in harvest and continues to fill until ice machine`s suction reaches 49 degrees and the defrost timer times out.(usually 1-3 minutes after suction line reaches 49 degrees)
