This depends on the model being hung on the stand. The size screw to use is usually listed in the manual. Also make sure to check the maximum length of the screw or you can damage the TV.
I could not find the screw size. However I found a link to a genuine screw, USD 2.50 per. Confirmed that your model number is in the "Found in Models" dropdown.
I called Toshiba for this TV model "40RV525R" and they said the pedestal stand for the t.v. to stand on was an m5, product # 75012791, and the length was approx 20-25 mm
It straight forward check for all around the base stand for screws, just make sure u check and take out all the screws out. Now,just push the base stand it foward or backward for loosen.Just take it out now.
Is that a problem? Check the hole size and choose a screw with a head that is bigger than the hole size. Typically select a minimum of 4mm diameter screw.
