Check and see if your getting battery voltage at the starter terminal when trying to start engine. This may take two people, one to sit on seat while turning the key to start and one to check to see if there is any voltage to starter when trying to crank. If there is battery voltage at the starter when being cranked, you have a bad starter. If you don't have voltage at starter when being cranked, check and see if there is a starter signal going to the starter solenoid. I'm not sure where it is exactly located on this peticular model but it is not that far from the battery. The main positive lead which is red in color goes to the starter solenoid first. Then there is another lead with the same thickness that goes to the starter from the starter solenoid. There should be a small wire between 14-16 gauge going to the starter from the ignition switch. Disconnect that small wire and check and see if your getting battery voltage when trying to crank engine. If you are getting battery voltage to the solenoid, the starter solenoid is bad. If your not getting battery voltage to the starter solenoid when cranking, check all safety switches that would cause the circuit to be interrupted, not allowing the starter solenoid to be energized. Hope this works out.
Well, Husky has a problematic blade clutch switch that causes the ignition switch not to work properly. R&R'd the ignition switch but, service tech said if experiencing the same problem to push & pull the blade switch to see if it will start. Got home with the mower & it would not start so I could get it off the trailer; pushed & pulled the blade engage switch a few times & it started!!!
Why no service bulletin or recall to the customers, but that's a question for my attorney.

Usually if all you hear is a clicking noise, it is the solenoid itself that has gone bad...if you can jump the solenoid and the mower turns over, it is the solenoid.

check your switch for your blades take it off(shut it off)
SOURCE: Engine will not turn over
Those boxes are probably relays. Sounds as tho one of your safety switches is not working correctly. Make sure you have the machines brake on, blade off, and any other safety measures are applied, such as the operator is sitting in the seat. Check the wiring connections at all the connections where the safety features are installed. Probably just a connection that is not letting the system know that all systems are indeed applied.

have you checked the fuse? there is a 20amp yellow fuse under the hood just below the solenoid same side as the blade engagement switch.also be sure all your lock out switches are working or by passed.

I disconnected the cable to the starter at the solenoid. I put a test light on that terminal and turn the switch on and the test light did not go on. I did test the terminal on the other side of the solenoid which has the power cable attached from the positive side from the battery and that is hot. I check all visible safety switches and they are all connected and look good. All fuses are good. Still scratching my head trying to figure this out.
