Fr1082 igloo problem

I had contacted Best Buy to inquire about this. My fridge, just a little over a year old, has quit working (motor not running, no sign of cooling). They informed me that unfortunately, they don't do "repairs" on these, just replace them if you're lucky to be within the 1yr. warranty. Anyway, the company that you can order the thermostat is called Curtis International, in Ontario Canada. Their contact number (good luck getting through, I held on for over 9 min, to no avail) 1-800-968-9853. As far as payment for the part, the company request payment by either certified check or money order. In addition, they want you to make sure you send them your name, complete mailing address, phone number, model number of unit and all information printed on the thermostat for proper match-up.
