My new S4M works fine with roll labels, but when I load fanfold media, the backing gets pulled back in and wraps around the roller. any ideas why this is happening, and/or how to fix the problem?
The fanfold labels are about an eighth of an inch shorter than the roll labels, but label length is set to 'auto', so I don;t think that is the issue.
Thanks.

SOURCE: how to feed labels on zebra s4m
The issue that is causing the problem is when users tear off the label they are actually partially pulling on the next label causing it to peel away a little then when it feeds it will jam. Only reliable way to stop this is once the user prints tell them to press feed and feed 1 label through.

Do what the other guys did and cut the labels and pull it with a set of plyers. Does not seem to be a better way

The printer is not calibrated to the media length. You need to perfrom a calibration with the labels loaded. This is in the users manual on how to do it. The printer should be set to automatically do this when powered up.

Check the drive belt. It might be missing a tooth if the printer is older. I can assist if you want to check this.
