first of all. comming from a Sears Technician.. (don't yell) -- the delivery drivers only know about delivering stuff. they dont know too much,
if the two are the same size they can be stacked.

and yes, for that model the top is removed, clips go on the rear and screwed at the front.
in some areas it is sold seperatly as a stacking kit
There is a hub and bearing that needs to be replaced you will need to have this serviced by a qualified tech. The whole front of the dryer has to come off and the basket needs to be removed.
They can be stacked, but you will have to purchase a special kit to do it. Sears should be able to order the kit for you. Without the kit, when the washer goes into spin, the dryer will fall off (not good at all). Good Luck!!! Jim
