That is a sometimes common problem on the Netflix server's end. The best work around only works about half of the time and that would be to exit the movie or show and find a series with multiple episodes and start an episode for a minute or two, then go back to the show you were wanting originaly.

This causes the session cach on the server end to remove the old data for the new show, so the one you wanted originally will be forced to attempt reloading.

TIME AND DATE
1. Press and hold MODE until HOURS digits flash (you'll be in Alarm Mode) Press MODE again to enter TIME mode, SECONDS digits will flash.

Plays for a minute or two - then just shuts itself off

Mine will intermittently record only the first minute or two of a tv show I have queued up to regularly record. It seems to happen anywhere from every show to every 5-10.
