I have a 27" Olevia LCD TV. It screeched then went to blue screen. Turned back on all fine tuning is gone and locked. I went to default that doesn't change the fine tune lock. Over night the TV now is blue screen w?V-Chip blocked at TV-14 DL. Any help???

That could be either the Power supply or the main board. I would think the main board is most likely because of the Blue screen you mentioned.

If the screen went dark blue, this is the way that sets mute the video to protect the tube. However If the screen is very bright blue with possibly blue lines going through the screen, either the blue gun in the CRT has failed which is unusual but can happen or the driver transistor/IC which drives the blue gun has gone short circuit. If you know how to use a meter, you can perform a comparison check by comparing say the red O/P TX with the blue O/P TX. Ian

you have to check the back light off your lcd replace the inverter or capacitor in the power module

Try selecting a different input, or checking the device which you are receiving the signal from. A blue screen typically indicates that there is no signal.

I just had this same problem over the weekend. Is your TV hooked up via HDMI?? Mine was and i've been having problems with the tv image shrinking whenever i turn on the tv, so i would have to change the channel 1 or 2 times for the image to come up normally. On Saturday I went to change the channel and then all of a sudden I hearld this loud pop and when the image came on it was just a sky blue screen, I couldnt see anything, but I could hear the channel. So I disconnected the HDMI and hooked up the tv with component cables I had and now it works fine. I ordered a new HDMI cable just to see if it will work again. If not, i'm calling Olevia.
