Roaring sound My LG french-door refrigerator model LFX25960 ST has suddenly started making a roaring sound. The refrigerator is barely a year old and has already had the ice-maker replaced. The sound stops when either of the refrigerator section doors are opened. The sound gets louder when the bottom freezer door is opened. The sound seems to be getting louder as time passes.

Freezer working. Refrigerator and ice maker in refrigerator door not working. Ice machine fan, coil fan and condenser fan seem to be running slow. maybe a voltage drop.would this be the control board? coil fan is new and ice machine fan about 1 year old.

I have had the same issues. I have owned my LFX25960 for 18 months. All the cooling, noise, and condensation problems are related to 2 fans. One for the freezer/refrigerator compartments and One for the Ice Maker. The fans, apparently, are not sufficient to move enough air through the coils located behind a plastic panel in the freezer compartment. The part numbers for my fans are 1. Ice Maker 4681JB1029E and Refrig/Freezer 4681JK1004E. It is not impossible, but fairly difficult to replace them yourself. You have to remove the large slide out freezer drawer and glides. Then work the back freezer panel loose from the bottom. Be careful not to break it. It is plastic.
Routine maintenance: Pull the refrig out from the wall and blow-out the coils and fan located on the lower right rear. You might find it easier to do this by removing the cover on the lower, back of the refrig.

Frost on back wall of freezer

There is a door that is not closing 100% of the time. There is warm moist air entering the fridge and building up on the back wall.

Make sure all doors are closing. Sometime the bottom door will close on one side but not the other.

Good Luck.

LG Model LFX25960 has error code ER 1F

Turn off the switch for the icemaker, then flip the circuit breaker to off for a few seconds and turn it back on. The display should remain lit and operable, but you won't have an icemaker. See service manual pg. 32: http://136.166.4.200/contents/Fridge/LFX25960/LFX25960_Service_Manual.pdf
