Solution for freezer compartment not cold and makes soft buzzing

Hi,

Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing thencheck out the last two tips.

Put off it's power supply then switch it on after somtimes

that is most likely a relay. Does the unit get cold while running?

its either the start relay or compressor

Your refrigerator is on a re-call list with Maytag.
Contact Maytag for a free repair.

A failed start relay could be the culprit. The relay/overload assembly (12555902) and the run capacitor (C8931612) should be replaced.
Be sure to unplug the refrigerator prior to service.

refrigerator and freezer not getting cold

i don't know jennair specifically being from england.
however, there is often a fan inside the back panel and the noise you heard was the fan hitting ice. the reason now not heard and fridge not working may be that the ice has built up so much the fan is jammed
