I got a no start on a troy bilt 31cc leaf blower. I've replaced the carb, fuel lines, fuel filter and cleaned spark arrester. The spark plug is always dry as a bone so i know its not drawing fuel. Im at a loss and i need suggestions.

See if you have spark to the plug, if not replace coil. You did everything else it should start, make sure start switch is to the on position. You replaced carb are the lines connected to the correct places and not kinked. Is your clunk clean. not much else to go wrong. Good Luck......

SOURCE: Leaf blower will not achieve full RPM's

try removing the muffler and scraping out any carbon build up in the exhaust mouth of the block. if that doesnt help you will probably need to replace the carb.

I have replaced the spark plug and it will not start.

Hi, you can check to see if it is a fuel starvation problem by putting a few drops of fuel through the spark plug hole, replace the plug and if it fires or runs for a short period then there is a fuel blockage - try checking filter or carby jets.If the engine didn't fire then maybe check exhaust outlet for blockage (my leaf blower didnt start and it had a mud wasp nest in exhaust.

Good luck

Won't prime, the only way i start it is to remove spark plug and put fuel in cyl. I have replaced the primer bulb and line, and the fuel mixture is correct, My next step was to buy a new carb?

Troy bilt tb320bv 31cc gas blower starts and runs if it is flat on the ground but as soon as it is picked up it quits. have pulled the carb off and cleaned it. any ideas?

inside the fuel tank you will see a flexible fuel line with a filter attached to the end ... that filter acts as a weight to position the fuel line in the lowest part of the tank no matter what postion the blower is in ... make sure the fuel line isnt broken .. also make sure the filter is still attached .. you can replace the fuel line and filter but both have to be able to handle achohol (in the gas) .. most of the older fuel lines cant and they go bad in a short time .. its actually hard to find the correct fuel line ... the size is not usually a problem but the material its made of has to say its suitable for modern gas .. most i found at local shops are the old type and wont work ..

Fuel filter or carb screen may be plugged. Screen should be replaced, not cleaned.

Wont start, not getting fuel, checked lines, carb and used starter fluid, runs but won't continue to run

You may need to do a more detailed cleaning on the carburetor. I like to use a Den Tek Brush, (used for cleaning teeth), to get into the small ports. They work great for this job. You may also need to check the small screen in carb. It gets blocked with debris. If you need further assistance, please contact me.

Hello, My 31 cc troy built blower won't start. It's got spark. When I pulled the brand new plug it appeared to be completly dry. I sprayed ether in the cylinder and put the plug back in and it started...

If the either burned, then you have a fuel problem. Make sure the fuel filter (in the tank) and the lines are all clear. If so, then you my need to rebiud the carburator.
