SOURCE: Admiral Side by Side Fridge is warm at top, cold at bottom
CHECK TO SEE IF THE EVAPORATOR FAN MOTOR IS RUNNING, ITS IN THE BACK OF THE FREEZER SIDE, MOTOR MAY BE BAD OR SOMETHING COULD BE BLOCKING IT...

Good day,
Step one. Remove the light guard in the fresh food section and where the main thermostat is located is a slot where you can insert a screwdriver. This is where the timer is. With the machine running, turn the shaft clockwise until the machine shuts off. Wait 35 minutes. If the machine comes back on, the timer is o.k. if not replace it.
If the timer is o.k move over to the freezer side. With the machine having been on for at least 6 hours remove the rear panel.
Inspect the cooling coil closely. It should have a frost coating from bottom to top. If the top coils are clean, you have developed a freon leak and have a serious problem.
If the coil is active top to bottom, then you will need to replace the dual glass defrost heaters and the defrost thermostat. One or the other may still be good at the time but it isn't worth the hassle to go into the system twice.
Installing them is tedious but doable. Take your time and keep track of how it comes apart. It's a monkey see monkey do job.
Careful on pulling the new wires.
P.S.The top coils wil not be as heavily frosted as the bottom ones but must have an active coating of frost on them.
SOURCE: There is water leaking in the freezer. I imagine
my model is not exactly the same but check for this this anyway:
Take a flash light & check for ice in the back vent underneath the
very bottom shelf in the freezer. If you see ice in there, completely
defrost until the ice is gone & the plastic drip hole is
unobstructed. The leak on mine was happening because that hole had
frozen over & caused excess water to flow into the bottom of the
freezer & out the bottom of the door instead of through that hole.
