E-system 314 desktop pc won't shut down, frozen on black page details showing PCI device history(dont know if thats a help!) i can't access menu as mouse and keyboard are not responding. screen seems to be a little fuzzy also. cursor flashing bottom left but can't do anything as keyboard no good. please please help me!!
Hold th epower button down on your tower for about 5-10 seconds and it should shut off. Then you can turn it back on. If that doesnt shut it down you can always pull the power cord.
I would unplug the power cord from the tower and while that is unplugged press the power button on the tower, then plug the power back in and try booting the pc up again-
Will it let you press the f8 key once it is first booted back up to go to the advanced boot menu?
Are you aware if your keyboard is a ps2 keyboard or if it is an USB keyboard? If it is USB then you may need a ps2 keyboard to be able to work in the post screen.
you already have a ps2 keyboard then..The first and easiest thing i would do is to try borrowing another keyboard off someone (ps2) and try that.. If that doesnt work the next steps would actually deal with being inside of the tower removing the ram modules, I am not sure how comfortable you would be with doing that, but I would try a different known working keyboard first.
Not a problem, let me know if that fixes your problem.
