Husqvarna 61 chain saw sn: 3202438. What year is it?

My Husky 36 did this. The oil pump drive gear was stripped and had to be replace. It's located under the flywheel/sprocket so you have to pull that. I couldn't find info on how to do that so had a local shop repair it for $70! Parts are cheap, labor is not.

check the oil filter from the oil tank,the oil line ,the worm gear and the oiler under the clutch.Clean the ways where the oil goes with compresed air.(after you fill out the oil tank)Also check the oil hose.

You didn't specify of its a 61 or a 61 Rancher. Here's the info you need to take to your Husky dealer. The diagram will be with the major repair kit.
Model 61, then the 61 Rancher:

Prior to the year 2000, the first digit of the ser no, was the year of manufacture in a ten year rotation, so 0 was either 1980 or 1990, if it has a white top cover it will be an early machine, if it has a grey top cover it is the intermediate machine, and the later machine that ran into the year 2000 had a orange top cover, as you can see the 61 ran for many years, it was an outstanding machine, the pro version was the 162 and later on the 266.most parts are still readily available.
