Sounds like it is displaying the firmware version because it is being started from applying power rather than pressing the On/Off button.

Does it still cover in warranty?

If you can hear sound, then screen is gone.

I'll bet you don't.

If you see an image, hear sound, just won't hold.
I'd bet on the T-Con board.

Not knowing what is really happening here..

If willing to dive into electronic's.
Open her up and start testing power side, starting with capacitors.

I have no remote control for the tv as I lost it ages ago and non of my home tv remotes work with it ??

Faulty USB cable or socket.

I got the same problem and i raged a lot ! But now it's better, so you should take your telecomand ant try all buttons and it will turn on again ( sorry for my bad english i'm french and i'm 14 ) yours faithfuly ;)

Check the monitor cord to the PC, tighten them as also check the mother board for any loose connections. If possible try with an another monitor to confirm that the fault is with the monitor or not. If so open the monitor after disconnection of mains and solder all the suspected joints , seen to look dry. Check for loose components, capacitors, IC or resistor that detach the soldering connection when it is hot.

You should have RCA jacks in the back saying Audio Out L+R normally there color coded as white and red. You would then plug your cables into your wireless transmitter ( audio in ).
