SOURCE: norcold n1095 not working on AC...works fine on LP

Yes. LP is direct heat to the exchanger. The thermistor operates through the control to the electric heater.

SOURCE: circuit breaker trips when turning unit on. only unit on circuit has triped on several circuits can find no shorts on wiring.

DOES IT BLOW THE BRAKER AS SOON AS IT TURNS ON OR DOES IT TAKE A FEW SECONDS. INSTANTLY WOULD MORE LIKELY BE A SHORT IF FEW SECONDS THE COMPRESSOR IS PROBABLY DRAWING MORE AMPS THAN THE BREAKER CAN HANDLE SO IT BLOWS. TRY TAPPING THE COMPRESSOR NEXT TIME YOU ATTEMPT A HOUSE CURRENT START UP. i HAVE A WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER THAT NEEDS TAPPED FOR STARTUP FOR THE SUMMER SEASON. GOOD LUCK

It will not turn on.

First thing, disconnect AC and DC power. You can leave the LP attached but go ahead and close the valve for now.

Plug in AC only and let it boot up. If the fridge does not automatically, press the power button to turn it on. The refrigerator should start working. Let it run for a while to make sure it does get cold. Once you confirm it does work you can either unplug the fridge or just open the breaker in the fuse panel.

Before you reconnect the DC wires, you need to check the power coming in. Most camper units will have wiring that will have color on one side and white on the other. The color wire will be your 12VDC, white is neutral return. Once verified, pull out the fuse for the power to the fridge to isolate the DC voltage. Check with the manual for the fridge, the positive input should be marked or identified in some manner. Open the valve to let LP back into the lines and wait a few minutes. Plug the fuse back in. If the fridge does not turn on automatically, press the power button to turn it on.

With the DC power on and no AC detected, the display should display CHECK. Let the fridge run for a bit to make sure it cools. Once you know it is working, the breaker for the AC can be closed to turn on the AC power to the fridge. Press the MODE button until AUTO displays displays.

Let it get cold and resume normal operations.

Works good when rv plugged in to AC LP or AC but even if runnin in LP and I remove the power cord shuts down and red x is on , wont try to start up.

If it's a refrigerator problem, I would look towards the rear circuit board first. It sounds to me like you probably have an issue with your inverter. The refrigerator operates on 12V DC, not AC. So when you unplug it, it should stay on and simply start working on the LP side of things. Try hooking the refrigerator up to an independent 12V battery. It should work perfectly fine when you unplug the unit from AC at that point. You most likely have something called AC ripple caused from a bad inverter. Ice and Water dispenser is inoperable.

I had a GE Fridge at one time and had issues like yours.

If you disconnected the connector at the door that supplies the dispenser with power, you would not measure any voltage on the dispenser side, only on the 'fridge' side. Measure the power with the connector connected, but that may not tell you a lot, unless you have the service manual.

If you push the water dispenser and you do not hear the little valve kick on behind the fridge, suspect a couple of things. A faulty inlet valve (usually located lower rear of fridge on backside). It may be disconnected. Had this happen once on a new fridge - it had been disconnected from the factory.

You may have one problem or two issues, but let's continue...

Do you push the ice dispensor and nothing happens? Or are you telling us that the dispenser works but there is no ice? The faulty valve mentioned above will prevent ice dispenser from filling to make ice.

Also, there is RESET button hidden in the freezer a well. I can't remember where it is but the little arm to make ice has to be in position to tell it to make ice, and you have to follow the procedure in yourf ridge manual to reset it. It's

Another problem I encountered, but this was just with the cold water dispenser, was that the water line would FREEZE in the fridge door, preventing water from getting to the dispenser and my cup. It wold make ice but no water. In that case I had to get a small squirt bottle with a long nose on it and shoot hot water up into the dispenser nozzle to clear the ice in the line. That only happened a couple tines a year, though.

I have a Dometic fridg in my 2005 motorhome and when I start my f

You need to unpush the gas button on the front control. If the gas button is pushed in, then it is trying to run on gas and with the tank empty, it is unable to light. That is why the check light is coming on. If you turn the gas side off and have it on auto, it should switch to the AC side and work fine.

Hope this helps,

Loss of sound after i start the angine

red - switched power (hot when key is on)
yellow - constant power (hot at all times - depending on the vehicle, i've used a direct battery connection, but isn't recommended)
black - ground
blue - power antenna or amplifier 'REM' wire

the other's, i'm working off of old memory....
purple - rear right
green - rear left
white - front right
gray - front left

wires with black stripes are ground, and without are hot

- if you're working on an older car, it sounds like your red and yellow are connected to the same power source. if this is the case, the time will always be resetting.
- if it's a newer vehicle, AND the time is not resetting, the red wire is connected to the wrong source. if the time and stations stay programmed after it shuts off, the yellow wire is correct.
