Check the blade assembly if it is loose tighten it up. If it is worn out or cannot be tightened up then buy another jug complete with blade. If it is the glass jug model then the blade assembly is available without the jug and they also have a replaceable seal at the base.

There is no infomration to suggest that the blender blade could be removed for replacement of a seal

On page 27 of the pdf (page 24 if printed) there is contact information for ordering replacement parts. You might ask if the blade assemly can be ordered and replaced separtely but I believe you must replace trhe blender jar and blade unit as one piece.

Make sure the blade assembly is put together in the correct order. The blade needs to go through the gasket so that the order is pitcher glass, gasket, and metal blade base. Then the final plastic cap threaded onto the pitcher. If the gasket is not between the pitcher and the metal blade assembly, you will have leaks.
Also, check the gasket to be sure it's not cracked and that it doesn't have residue on it.
I hope this helps. If it does, please come back and rate my suggestion!

Blender glass jar is leaking at base

It will either be the rubber gasket (it goes between the glass jar and the blade assy) or it could be a worn bearing/bush around the chopping blade shaft. Replace either the gasket or the blade assy.

My blender leaks at the base of the carafe

A couple of things you can check.
Unscrew the glass jar from the bottom.
Check to see if the grey seal is between the metal blade assembly and the glass jar. I had this issue and it turned out to be that a friend had reassembled the blender jar parts after taking it apart to clean it.

Leaking

Unfortunately Kitchenaid's design on those blenders is a one piece unit, over time the seals wear out and you have to replace the entire jar assembly, they usually run 40-50 dollars and can be found from several vendors.

Here is a link to the replacement jar on our site: KitchenAid Blade Jar Assembly W10555711

Leaks from the bottom of the glass jar. Bought a new gasket and it is worse than ever.

Are you sure you are installing the gasket correctly?

Leaks are usually the result of a misaligned or cross-threaded blender jar base or from the gasket being installed incorrectly. Make sure the gasket is installed between the blade assembly and the screw on base.

If this does not help, please reply or repost.

Why does my blender leak?

hi,

sounds like the bearing assembly went, right where the motor connects to the blade, you can get a replacement base from them, have to find the model number and go to their website. doubt you burnt it up. cuisinarts supposedly are commercial quality.

My new 5 speed blender is leaking help

Check that you have the seal between the collar and glass jar. It looks like the one here. If it missing the jar will leak badly. If this is not missing, please describe where the leak is.

My Cuisinart blender start leaking after a few months of use.

Here is a list of things to check for:
1. Make sure the blender base (black plastic) is tight to the jar.
2. Make sure you have installed the rubber washer between the blender blade assembly and the jar.
3. Make sure your rubber washer is free from any crud that may have accumulated and dried on. You may have to soak the washer and gently scrub with a scrubber sponge. If it's really cruddy you may have to repeat as necessary.
4. Make sure you have not caught any water (or other liquid) when filling it between the base and the jar. When you pour out the contents it will appear as if it is leaking.

There is a leak in the caraffe(or jar). It is at

Common issue with all of these carafe's. Once the jar starts to leak the bearings are shot and it is time to replace the jar. The bearings are non-replacable. Bad design in my opinion. I was able to get my last jar (I have been through 3 before the 5 year warranty went out) to last by hand washing and not putting it in the dishwasher, but after 4 years of use on this jar it failed too.
