I have located a manual for this phone here:

and it would appear that the "black level2 can be adjusted under the >settings>phone settings>display>brightness options by using the up & down keys. The screen brightness also seems adjustable, again I presume using the up & down keys.
If you click on the above link, you can save the pdf format file to your computer for future reference. I found the above by using the Edit>find option in Acrobat Reader which took me to pages 63-4.
