Wen electric chain saw

If you have used up all the adjustment on the bar, you MUST buy a new chain. It has worn or stretched and is about to break.

I saw a similar model for sale, for about $40, that could be used for replacement parts, or might even replace it if it actually works ok.

First loosten that 1/2 bolt on the bar--the lookat the bar when it goes into the housing you will see the adjustment screw.Tighten the chain by turning the screw when you get it to where you want it then tighten the 1/2 inch bolt

I have been using regular chainsaw oil and I think it works ok. I inherited one of these and would like to find a spare chain and also a manual. Can you give me any info? Thanks

#DriveLinks, the part of the chain that fits in the bar groove. Match the number with the fourth column to get bar length.

The above results are for an original or equivalent bar. Only YOU can determine your level of expertise, how much risk (read the triangular warnings - the OE chain was probably green) you are willing to assume and choose one of part numbers listed. Once you make your choice it can be found on the Internet or through local merchants (no shipping and handling fees). If the local outlet does not handle Oregon your choice can easily be converted to a part number of the manufacturer they do handle. I suggest a few phone calls to save you time and gasoline. Given the Oregon part number and your assurance of a purchase, if my store, your chain would be waiting when you walked in the door.

How about one slightly newer (6018)? I was not able to find a match for your model. Wagner purchased Wen some time back and have since stopped production.

If you take your existing chain to a local chainsaw seller/mechanic a replacement can be fabricated. No chain? take the entire saw and bar.

Most older chainsaw adjustments are visible when the saw is viewed from the end of the bar back to the saw. More modern ones are near the bar nuts (side). Lou

take the old chain with you when you go tobuy the new one is the best way

Are you pressing the trigger lock with your thumb before you pull the trigger? That's a safety feature to prevent accidental sawing.

There's not a sensor for the oil, but you don't want to run the saw dry. It takes a special bar/chain oil which is thicker than motor oil.

FYI... if you look for a manual on the web, search for "Wagner chainsaw" because Wagner bought the chainsaw business from Wen.
