Tub Seal needs to be replaced

Bosch sent a replacement seal and clamp, but the 1 page instruction is horrible! I am a pretty handy do-it-yourselfer on most things, but this looks Greek (or German!) to me. It was literally hand written. Anyone have the directions from the tech repair manual? Thanks Paul

When the washer goes unto spin cycle, it makes a loud roaring noise and is leaking from the bottom

It sounds like the tub seal is leaking, allowing water to leak out of the tub and damage the drum bearing. Unfortunately you need specialized tools to replace the seal and bearing, so you may have to get a maytag service agent in to look at it. If you're handy with a welder you may be able to make up a tool yourself, it basically consists of a flat hexagon with tabs on the inside to fit the drum nut, and some handles on it. You'll need to remove the front panel and top panel. Then remove the cap around the top of the tub. The agitator is held on by a small screw near the base of the agitator, loosening it will allow you to remove it. Now you can see the tub nut, this is reverse threaded, so it's loosened clockwise. Then you can lift out the drum. Next on the shaft is the top part of the mechanical seal. Remove the grub screw out the side. Now you'll need the same tool you used for the tub nut to undo the seal, rotating in the same direction. Remove the outer tub by undoing the 3 bolts that fix it to the stays, and disconnect the level tube and drain hose. From here you should have printed instructions that come with the new parts to replace the seal and bearing. Please feel free to get back to me if you have any further questions.

How do I replace the door seal to a Bosch Front loader washer Maxx Classic WAE18060AU?

To change the seal the easiest way is to take the front of the appliance off. Remove the kick plate at bottom and you will see some screws holding the front panel on remove these Then open door and remove the screws holding the door lock on and unlip the seal by releasing the clamp on the front. The front should now lift off, if it doesnt then pull out the soap drawer and behind that at the bottom of the drawer is a screw holding the front on remove this then push the front panel down then it will lift off You can now take the clamp holding the seal to the tub off. Fit the new seal, fit the clamp to the seal and tub. From here, rebuilding is the reverse of the strip down.

Replacing the tub seal

it is a rather large job to do and unless you are very mechanically minded you would be better off taking it to the repairman

Door seal needs to be replaced

For most front-loaders:
Plug off the wall mains. Remove the plastic clamp holding the seal to cabinet & peel off the cabinet. Push downwards on the seal close to the tub & the seal will come off - it's just held by a spring on the periphery.
Lubricate the slot which fits over the tub with washing-up fluid. Starting at the top, press the seal so the flange of the tub enters the slot on the seal. Work your way round the using thumbs to force the slot on the tub flange. When slot is on the flange all way round, fit the spring which holds it on. The spring goes into a slot on the outside of the seal. This is quite difficult and you may need another pair of hands. Fit the outside of the seal to the cabinet - this is easy and fit the plastic clamping ring.
Test for leaks before using. Use rinse to test as the water level is higher.
(There is no glue anywhere, only clamps, etc)

undo clamp that holds seal to tub and seal will then come away
on new seal, lubricate the slot in the seal that goes onto lip of tub with washing up fluid
starting at top, insert slot in seal onto lip of tub and work you way round in both directions till seal is entirely on tub.
