Kenmore he2t F25 error. Trying to ohm test the MCU. Are you supposed to stick the leads of the multimeter into the holes of the white connector where the wires go in, or to the wires themselves? They're very close together and almost impossible to separate. Kenmore says to number the wires starting from bottom 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 (one green, 5 black), but there are six wires. The bottom two wires are green and black and are supposed to read 115 ohms - mine read nothing. Does Kenmore mean to test the bottom two black wires?

Hello!

Most likely, error F 25 means that the aquasensor, the turbidity sensor of water, has failed.

Possible reasons of this error:
1) Perhaps there was a clog in the system of draining the water. Dirty water does not merge and because of this the sensor shows muddy water. It is necessary to clean the drain filter;
2) Lime or scale on the turbidity sensor. Always use high-quality washing powders or add descaling agent
3) Dirty water got into the plumbing. Drain all the water and run the wash program in hot water. The washing machine should be empty.

SOURCE: Washer's tub will not move

I don't know what the E5E error code refers to but I can think of at least one possible reason for no motor action, even if motor itself is ok and board has been replaced. The relay itself could be faulty with no power from the output side, even if it clicks on. Less likely but still possible would be a faulty overload protector at the motor.

F21 is a long drain...it is taking too long to drain..you have a something slowing down the drain.. you can remove the bottom panel and clean out coin trap... if there is nothing then you may have another problem... but this is the most common problem..

SOURCE: I have a Kenmore HE2T error code F24

The "F24" error code is a heat sensor error code. The following link explains the error code in detail and the steps to correct it:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r1976126-f24_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

In many cases, the connector plug on the NTC sensor wiggles loose and causes the error code. Check the NTC connection first to make sure it is tight and making good contact. This may save you a service call and/or replacement parts. Make sure you UNPLUG the washer before servicing anything inside the unit.

A replacement NTC module (if required) can be purchased at searspartsdirect.com for about $10. Refer to the parts illustrations under the "Tub and Basket Parts" heading.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: Each washer comes with a technical data sheet located inside the cabinet. You will need to remove the lower toe panel directly below the door to access it. If it is not located directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls. The tech sheet includes all troubleshooting tips, wiring diagrams and fault codes with explanations.

It appears your timer/main controller/CCU has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question

Our whirlpool elite washer keeps F11 erroring and FDL locking the door.

Hi.

FDL is door lock. This is the first part to be tested, since it can be symptom of a wiring problem.

The door lock is tested by reading impedance on the door latch contacts.
If the door lock is OK, do the following troubleshooting for F11. The problem is usually CCU.

F11 is communication error between CCU (main control unit) and MCU (motor control unit - additional control module connected to motor and to CCU, located in a sealed box inside the washer).

This usually means that either CCU or MCU is defective. In some case the connectors or the wiring harness connecting the two modules is the problem.

The tech sheet says:

F11:Serial Communication Error
Communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly.
Solution:
* Check Wire Harness connectors to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
* Check the Drive system for any worn or failed components
* Check MCU
* Check CCU
* Check Motor
* Check Wire Harness

The wiring harness is tested using a multimeter to ensure that there is continuity between the MCU and CCU connectors. If a single wire is good it will read zero Ohms (closed) from contact to contact.
Motor is tested reading Ohms, it must be read about 6 Ohms on three different pairs of contacts.
Drive system in motor is checked observing if any of the parts are broken.
MCU and CCU are tested reading volts during operation and testing at component level. The testing must be done by a tech. Check CCU to see if there is any sign of failure (eg burnt spots).

Most of the time the problem is CCU. Trick to repair it include testing and eventually reheating the solder joint of the two on-board relays, cleaning connector contacts with circuit cleaner solution. This in case that the problem is CCU.

Disconnect the unit from power for five minutes as first test. This will reset CCU.

Whirlpool 9400 frontload washer displaying F11 code. Is there a diagnostic that I can run?

The diagnostic is different depending on the model. The diagnostic is illustrated in the machine tech sheet, which is tucked inside the control panel assembly. Open control assembly and check. By the way, if you have f11 the diagnostic won't help. Machine must be tested.

Regards.

Ginko.

Washer displays an F11 error code. I replaced the MCU but still the F11 code. Wire harness is good.

Hi.

It is probably the CCU (main control). Wiring harness, motor and drive train must be checked before replacing the CCU.

Won't spin. Error code F25

Hi,

If you remove three screws along the bottom front the bottom panel comes off.
On the inside, on the right wall, is a plastic bag with a paper labeled "FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN ONLY".
This has a section titled "FAILURE/ERROR DISPLAY CODES" with all the error codes along with an explanation and recommended procedure. For F25, this is:

DRIVE MOTOR TACHOMETER ERROR

If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the machine shuts down.
If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 Minutes.

Possible Causes/Procedure

1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and the power cord are removed.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check drive motor tachometer resistance. It should be approx. 115 ohms.
4. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU).
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.

KENMORE HE2T WASHING MACHINE

"F25" is a tachometer error. If the control unit is unable to detect the proper motor speed, the machine will shut down. You can attempt to unplug the washer for at least 30 minutes to reset the computer. Sometimes this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches. If the error reappears, the manufacturer recommends the following:

1. Check the wiring harness between the Central Control Unit, Motor Control Unit and Drive Motor to ensure they are all connected properly and not broken or loose. This would be connections L2 and N1 at the MCU and connector MS2 pins 1 and 2 at the CCU. (There is a wiring diagram inside the washer behind the lower kick panel).

2. Verify the Drive Motor is turning and the motor windings are good. Resistance checks at the drive motor connector acros Pins 1 to 2, 2 to 3, and 1 to 3 should all read about 6 ohms.

I hope this helps you.

PS I believe the tachometer is a physically attached to the drive motor.
