How do you upgrade the Android OS to support the Kindle app?

Upgrade the os to kitkat.

your local pc repair shop should have the software to clear your password..usually they charge about 5 bucks to do it

uninstall updates for Play Store, clear cache both you can find underneath the app manager.reboot let the Play Store update then try again.

You have to go to a web browser and go to amazon.com. On the left side of the screen is a place with apps for various devices. Click download the android app. This is where it gets confusing. The app doesn't automatically like it should. Now you need to close the browser and go into settings. I can't recall the exact place to go but you need to find the internal storage for the device. When you open that folder the android app will be there and you need to click it to download it. Once you do that the app will appear on your home screen.

i downloaded the amazon app and it works great and found lost of free ebooks and apps to try.

This tablet is running Android 2.1 and doesn't support the Android App Market.
