Remove the lift pump and make sure its not on the back of the cam ,it will never work like this ,then remove the pipe from the carb end and try putting some fuel down it to prime and wet the valves inside the pump ,if that doesnt work check for a porous pipe froim the tank to the metal pipe that runs to the pump ,if that doesnt work then look inside the tank ?

After you dump the fuel in the throttle body it will continue to run on its own or die as soon as it burns up all the fuel you dump in? Do you have access to (Noid lights)? Are both plugs attached to the distributor?

Fuel filter in carb is pulgged, there is usally a brass filter just behind the fuel line connection to the carb. that is plugged or worse yet you float needle valve is stuck. sometime you can losen the needle valve up by smacking the float bowl a couple of times with the plastic end of a screw driver. sometimes that will losen it up. Other wise you will have to remove the top of the carb and clean the float assembly.

remove the fuel line from the carb, put it into a bottle, crank the engine, If the bottle has fuel in it the fuel pump is working properly, if not, check the filter, and the fuel lines to the tank!!!

first of all you have no carb its fuel injected, at least you know you have spark, now do you have fuel pressure??, is the fuel pump working?/ if you have fuel and pressure then you have to check signal at the injectors, so if you have fuel pressure and a good injector pulse the next step is to check the injectors, this may require removal, good luck

Hi, you can check the fuel pump by removing the fuel pipe from the carb then make sure their is fuel in the tank as these can have faulty fuel gauge so even though it shows you fuel is in the tank it could still be empty, so if you take the main fuel line of the carb then put some rag under it then get someone to turn the engine over, then if you have fuel coming out you know the fuel pump is working and the problem could be more serious such as carb trouble or even head trouble, how ever if you have no fuel and you are sure their is fuel in the tank then the chances are your going to need to replace the pump then you should be up and running.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
