No reset, sounds like a bad door lock switch. The unit is under warranty, call for service.

The machine is locked and can't open with clothes washed inside,. Add garment light is on and the time is flashing'

Whirlpool-made Front Loading such as the Kenmore Elite washing machines use a door lock and switch assembly having a tab that can be pulled manually for emergency opening of the door. This tab can be accessed with the removal of the lower front access panel. Disconnect power to the washer and drain the water from the tub before accessing it. The link below contains the detailed instructions on manual unlocking of the door.

I just replaced the door latch on my kenmore front loader washer model 11047532601 the door locked light doesnt come on and the door locked light isnt coming on all i get is beep beep beep

Hello,

You have a bad CCU. This is the control board on the top of the unit. Remove the top, three screws on the back. The board clips into the position. You can try to unplug the wires one at a time, the control will probably have to be replaced.

With the model I would be able to better assist you.

I notice F22 error message on washer. Door seems to be jammed and will not unlock

This is a door lock failure code and it means the door lock is broken or just failed to unlock. Click on the links below for the detailed instructions for manually unlocking the door and replacing the door lock and switch assembly if it has indeed failed.

The door remains locked

Whirlpool-made Front Loading such as the Kenmore Elite washing machines use a door lock and switch assembly having a tab that can be pulled manually for emergency opening of the door. This tab can be accessed with the removal of the lower front access panel. Disconnect power to the washer and drain the water from the tub before accessing it.

Remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Once the panel is off, reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the bottom of the door lock and switch assembly on the right side. Locate the tear-drop shaped tab then gently pull it down until a click is heard, and then open the door.

The door lock and switch assembly may need to be replaced if the problem persists. The replacement procedure is here.

Some
Whirlpool-made Front Loading such as the Kenmore Elite use another type of door lock and switch assembly but still with the release tab and can be accessed through the washer top. Remove the screws attaching the top panel to the rear of the machine then pull the panel rearward and off the cabinet. Pull the release tab until a click is heard then open the door.

Kenmore elite washer- won't start - control on front says controls locked. I tried unplugging it but still won't start.

This advise is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet front loader washers and dryers with a Control Lock problem.

This may or may not be an indication of a serious problem. In the majority of the cases, this is a simple operator error. Nearly all these model appliances have some sort of Control Lock feature on the front panel now. This is a designed safety feature that is used to prevent small children from manipulating the controls. The controls can be easily locked or unlocked by pressing and holding the following button on the front panel:

Whirlpool Duet Washer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.

Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.

Kenmore Elite Washer - Press and hold the DRAIN/SPIN button for 3 seconds.

Kenmore Elite Dryer - Press and hold the AUTO DRY LEVEL button for 3 seconds.

These instructions may not be all inclusive for all Kenmore and Whirlpool models, but they are the most common. Chances are, if you have a Control Lock feature, the instructions will be printed on the front panel adjacent to the button that is required to lock or unlock the controls.

NOTE: These instructions may also work for newer model Maytag, Hotpoint, Admiral and Fridgidaire model front loaders as well. Refer to your owner's manual or front panel for instructions pertaining to your sepcific model.

If the Control Lock feature will not lock or unlock the appliance, unplugging the unit for AT LEAST 30 minutes is recommended in order to reset the main control board. In many cases this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches.

Door won't open

the lock switch is probably stuck. make sure machine is off but plugged in still. Push in on the door while gently giving a couple of thumps around the lock area and the lock will probably "click" open.

My Kenmore Elite front loader HE3 washer will not start.

The door lock is not telling the control the door is locked. Faulty door switch or failed control or loose wire.Try pushing in on the door while it tries to start. Advanced trouble shooting may be required.
