I purchased a KitchenAid Blender in USA can i use it in australia
The Australian outlets will zap that blender - you need to purchase a 240V to 120V transformer in order to make it work.
This won't work with a blender, James has done a mixer by the look of it, you will need to buy the motor complete and the button pad for a blender change.
Hey there, I just did a successful conversion from kitchenaid 120v to 220v!!! I'm posting this to as many sites as possible as it was a gamble I took and paid off... I'd like more people to know how to save some money by doing a conversion.
All you need are three items: the 220/240 V armature (spinning part of the motor), the 220/240V field (stationary part of the motor) and a new phase control board (for the 60Hz to 50Hz).
Howver, this will only work with certain mixers listed in the links provided. I used goodmans to source the parts and the manual to change everything out! You can change the plug as well but I just used a standard us to uk plug adapter. As well, EU regs require an RFI filter... I figured I would just not include that part.. works fine despite not necessarily being compliant : )
