Hotrod182 what do you mean a 20v jump charge and how did you do this?
Does it not hold a charge, or will the charge not indicate "fast charge"? I had to apply a initial jump charge on the battery to get it up to 20 volts, then I put it in the Ryobi Charger, and it started charging it.
I had 2 18v one batteries that within a week of each other stopped working and wouldn't register in the charger. No lights at all.
I read about 'jump starting' the batteries but didn't have any jump leads. What i did was unscrew the casing, took off the yellow section and put a small screwdriver across the and - strips untill i got a spark.
Casing back on, both batteries charged as normal...
It may be a quick fix that doesn't last, but for now they're still working...

if it's both of them then i am thinking you have a faulty charger. i have seen mine do that, i got a new charger and it worked properly.
