Region Code for AWA DS-A33I

I need a region code for AWA DS-A33I as I have a few DVDs that are region coded to region 1. I live in Australia so you know that it is region 4. Is it possible to get a region code for that DVD player? Could you please find one for me if its possible?

I went to setup but there is no option saying system info. Sorry but it didnt work. Do you know of anything else that may work?

  • hur_esther Apr 01, 2009

There is a Sub Heading called General Setup Page and under that is the following list of headings: TV Display, Angle Mark, OSD lang, Captions, Screen Saver, HDCD, Last Memory. The other sub headings are Audio, Dolby, and Preferences. There is no actual button called General Setup. If you could check for more data that would be great. Thanks

You can change region code on your DVD player for quite limited times. I suggest get region free player on your pc for free so that you can play region-locked DVD discs. You could try Leawo Blu-ray Player which is a region free, Blu-ray player.

Have no disc in the tray
Press the set-up key
Go to system info
Enter 1101
Press OK
Enter Code 0

Let me know if it works

  • Anonymous Mar 31, 2009

When you press setup...is there maybe a button that says General setup. that might also work aswell. otherwise I'll just check for more data on that model number for you.

  • Anonymous Apr 01, 2009

Try entering the code I gave above while you're on that screen. Since you don't need to go into any other folders or setup pages. It should work now I hope. so basically when you're on the general setup page after doing steps 1,2 and 3 enter 1101 and press ok. after that press 0. switch your unit off and back on again so that the dvd player can memorize the region. if it works, I must just tell you that pressing 0 will unlock your dvd player to ALL regions and not just region 4. so if you ever buy or rent dvd's from diffirent regions, you'll never have to do this again^^

I have a panasonic dvd player model no: DMR EX78 I live in south east Melbourne Australia and have purchased a few dvds from Amazon, sometimes I get a message saying something about regions, I spoke to my...

The problem with Amazon DVDs purchased is the region codes each disc may contain. Since a majority of them would be from USA, and their region is 1, your player being region 4 would not support that code.

There is no fault here, it is just a restriction. Some discs work, some don't.

No one likes region restrictions - particularly on DVDs bought legally, and I doubt very much Panasonic would provide any information on unlock codes for you.

Be warned: if you do successfully find a hack to unlock your player so it becomes region-less, expect the risk of either the player failing later, or not reading any discs at all. I am sure there are 'region-free' players around now, which don't contain a restriction and can play ANY DVD any region.

On the other hand, if you have a DVD drive on your PC, and it is set to region 0 or all regions, and the discs play fine in it, but not the player, then you could view those particular discs that way; you do not need to make any copies of any of the DVDs just to watch them.

I bought a playstation 3 in South Africa and have moved to Australia and I can get any game or DVD to play on it that I have bought in Australia why?

I think you wanted to write that you CAN'T watch DVDs or play games bought in Australia on your PS3.
The reason is the region code of your playstation. It only can play Region Code 2 DVDs and games. In Australia you only can buy Region Code 4 media.
You need to buy your media from south africa or Europe. Some blueray-discs are region code free. You can check this on: http://www.blurayregioncodes.com/
As far as I know it's not possible at the moment to change the region code of the play station.

I recently purchased a DVD which is Region 1, we are Region 4 and the DVD will not play on our AWA Combination DVD/VCR. Any suggestions?

Search google for region-free/multi-region codes codes as well as your DVD Player Model

e.i.: AWA DVDS203 region free codes
e.i.: AWA DVDS203 unlock region

Replace "DVDS203" with whatever model your DVD Player is.

Do not pay for codes! The unlock method may be simply typing some stuff into your remote or having to download firmware upgrades, burn to CD and play on the DVD Player.

Warning: Unlocking DVD Players MAY void some warranties!!

Sansui DVP1210 dvd player- unclock code

To unlock the DVD code its defends upon what region you belongs or from were you bought the DVD unit. Just click this site to hack the region code ; http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks

To keep it simple, this means that DVD players and DVDs are labeled for operation on within a specific geographical region in the world. For example, the U.S. is in region 1. This means that all DVD players sold in the U.S. are made to region 1 specifications. As a result, region 1 players can only play region 1 discs. That's right, the DVDs themselves are encoded for a specific region. On the back of each DVD package, you will a find a region number (1 thru 6).
The geographical regions are as follows:
REGION 1 -- USA, Canada
REGION 2 -- Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Greenland
REGION 3 -- S.Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Parts of South East Asia
REGION 4 -- Australia, New Zealand, Latin America (including Mexico)
REGION 5 -- Eastern Europe, Russia, India, Africa
REGION 6 -- China
REGION 7 -- Reserved for Unspecified Special Use
REGION 8 -- Reserved for Cruise Ships, Airlines, etc...
REGION 0 or REGION ALL -- Discs are uncoded and can be played Worldwide, however, PAL discs must be played in a PAL-compatible unit and NTSC discs must be played in an NTSC-compatible unit.

The end result is that DVDs encoded for regions other than Region 1 cannot be played on a region 1 DVD player, also, players marketed for other regions cannot play region 1-stamped DVDs

Hope it may help you;

Changing the region code

Hi,

You can only change the region code a few times (usually 5), so I wouldn't do it. You should leave the current player at region 1, and buy and install another DVD player and set it to region 4, then you will have 1 for each region you want.

Dvd region codes

Try this (for a LH-T360SE)

Open disk tray and press 0000, a two line menu appears with "Edit Region _" and "Region Code:x" put in required region (presumably 0) and press enter. Region Code:0 appears. power off and enjoy.

region code 0 is No region restrictions.
