Aspire3000 how do i turn on wireless net please thank you

did you configure you wireless router

first download the manual from here:

and at page 10 you can find the Wireless communication button/indicator

Hi,

I pulled out the battery. Cycled the power for 30 seconds ( holding the power button ) plugged the system back in ( with out battery in sysetm )

Find them here, select notebook in your product line box and Aspire3000 in the on the right.
Then look down the list for the Lan driver

Look through the site and you should find all the drivers that you need.

Can you connect to the router?

please do the following

Start/run/cmd<enter>
type "Ipconfig <enter>"

copy the results in to a message window so I may see it

Hi,

This page hold the list of all the drivers for you laptop. You will see the LAN driver there in the list. Once you navigate to this page, bookmark it so you can easily go back and find it.

You will want to setup your dirvers in a certain order, first you setup the SIS Display driver, then your LAN driver, after that you can pick and choose, but once you are on the Net with your machine get all the windows updates downloaded and installed. Then you can worry about your sound, glide pad and stuff like that.

1. What is the model number of you wireless adapter?
2. What is your Operating System? ( windows XP, 2000, etc )
3. What is the brand name or model number of your wireless access point?
4. Is it working before?
5. Are there other wireless computers working?

It's most likely a wireless adapter in a minipci slot.
The problem might not be the adapter it can be that the video or cpu is overheating check if there is dust in the ventalation and clean it.
