Secuity system light stays red and drains battery

After recharging my 2000 Maxima's battery because I hadn't driven it because of ice, I reconnected it as usual. At that time I did'nt notice that the secuity system light stopped flashing and stayed red. A few days later the battery was drained. I had the battery checked with the crank test and it is in great shape. How do I reset the security system?

Your battery could have a loose connection,follow the negative cable and see if it is getting a good connection.

Battery light stays on

That generally indicates that the battery is bot being recharged. You need to have the charging system tested in the vehicle to find out.

Acts like dead battery, jump starts, and can drive, but turn on the a/c and whole thing dies and I have to coast to parking and jump start again. any ideas?

you need to check the charging system voltage if the alternator is not putting out voltage the car is only running off the battery and the battery is not being recharged turning on the ac adds the drain from the cooing fan about 30amps and the blower motor inside the car another 20 amps and also the compressor clutch of 20 amps

or any of several reasons:

You accidentally left the lights on or some other accessory that pulls power from the battery even when the ignition key is off.
The battery is not being recharged while the vehicle is being driven (you have a charging problem)
There is a key off parasitic electrical drain on the battery because a relay is sticking, a module is not shutting down, or there is a shorted diode in the alternator.
Your battery is old and will not hold a charge anymore. The battery needs to be replaced.

My keys where locked in the car we got the doors open the alarm went off so they took the battery loose now the secuity light is not flashin and i cannt program the keyless remote

If it was a factory system programming instructions should be in your owners manual.

When I placed my Lithium Ion Battery in the charger it doesn't carge the batter and the red light that's supposed to stay lit while it's charging keeps on blinking on and off.

How old is the battery?

It's very possible that the blinking light is indicating a bad/old battery. These rechargeable batteries after so many cycles lose it's charging capability and the fault system built into the recharging base will indicate by giving you the red light on & off. Energizer rechargeable station is a good example when it detects old or bad batteries.

2000 maxima with problems with brake and battery lights

You don't have a short, just a bad alternator. Both lights will come on, on nissan's when the alternator is bad. I have been a nissan and infiniti tech for 11 years and that's just how the lights operate.

Heater/ac drains the battery when turned on

Sounds to me like an alternator/ generator issue. You can get it checked for free at a local auto parts store like Autozone or Advance respectively. Hope this helps!

CD ERR It only plays Factory Pressed CD's and not Burned CD's so try a factory pressed CD and it should play.
