By frequently resetting your lock combination, you decrease the chance that someone will break into your luggage.
If someone watches you open your luggage at baggage claim while going through security or at a hotel, they may break into your luggage when they encounter you on another leg of your journey.
Change your lock after every major flight or trip to help keep your items safe.
Avoid easy to guess passwords, as well, such as sequential numbers, all the same number or birthdays.

Open your lock by inputting the current combination.
New Prestolocks have a factory set combination of "0-0-0."
Turn the shackle 180 degrees.
Press the shackle down and turn it 90 degrees to the left or right.
Input the new combination.
Move the shackle 90 degrees so that it is 180 degrees from its locked position.
Take your hand off the shackle and pull it out.
Turn it back to the locked position.

Push the shackle into the lock and turn at least one of the lock's dials.
Write down your new combination.
Keep this paper in a safe place for future reference.

I bought an eminent combi-lock luggage but the reset button never clicked when was set at 000. I tried to see if the snaps on the zippers would fit and they slipped right in, but now I can't open it.

The combination can usually be changed to one of the purchaser's own choosing but first read the instructions and carry out the adjustment before locking it.
Once locked the adjustment can't be made as if that was possible anyone would be able to reset the combination and unlock.

Fortunately few combination locks of the type are made to such a high degree of precision that by keeping pressure on the lock a sensitive touch can't "feel" the combination. It is an intuitive process but lots of patience is needed.

Having problems setting my lock on Coolite luggage

From prior Fixya answer:
The lock is currently set to 000. To set your own combination and with the lock in the 000 position, open the case and on the inside of the lock mechanism you will see a red tab. slide this tab to the left and then move the digits on the front to your desired code. ie 123. then move the red tab back to lock in this new setting as your own personal combination. close the case and then move the digits away from our setting of 123 and this locks the case. only if the digitrs are 123 in this example will the lock now open.

Eminent luggage lock

TSA lock on Eminent Osmosis Luggage, three digit TSA lock (HOW to change it to YOUR personal number)

Put the code numbers to '000'
Take the lock levers OFF the lock
Push the round opening button UPWARDS.
IMPORTANT :
KEEP holding the button UP until you have changed the numbers
Change the TSA code numbers to what YOU want
Release the round opening button
Now your case combo lock numbers have been changed.

To lock the case put the two lock levers into the holes, spin the numbers and your case will be locked.
To UNLOCK the TSA code spin the numbers to YOUR lock code, push the lock button UP and, hey presto, your case will open.

If you forget your NEW lock number you will NEED to go through ALL the numbers, starting at '000' to '999', to be able to open the lock/case.
REMEMBER to PUSH the ROUND OPENING button UPWARDS on EVERY number change.
Only THEN, when it finds YOUR correct three digit number, will it eventually open the suitcase/luggage/baggage.
Good luck

I have a new Nubbio piece of luggage with a TSA lock.I thought I set my combination but it does not work with my numbers and 000 doesn't work either? How do I open?

You can not reset your lock combination without knowing the original combination you had set.

If you have forgotten your lock combination, then there are 2 solutions.

1. You could use Bolt Cutters to break the Lock open.

2 . Sometimes, the simplest solution is often overlooked, as your lock is a 3 digit combination lock, and if you have about 30 minutes to spare, then why not try all the possible combination from 000 - 999 ( 000, 001, 002, 003 through to 999) You may think this will take a long time, but it should not take you more than 30 minutes and if the first digit of your forgotten code starts with a 0, 1, 2, or 3.. then it will take significantly less than 30 minutes. Try it out, as it will save you from having to buy a new lock if you use bolt cutters.

I bought a 92 grand prix and it has a combination lock on the glove box, how do I find out the combination?

Usually the owner never changed the factory combo (#000). I had no such luck and had to pry the latch and manually open the catch with a piece of thin metal. then I took the lock out and looked for a spaced cog on each tumbler(from the backside). After aligning them in a row, I the rotated all three together up a couple positions to align the combination to it's proper location.

My lock is open and set at 000. i want to set a new combination but I don:t know how

I can only assume that you are referring to a bike combination lock, or something along those lines. Get in touch with the manufacturer and they may send you combination change instructions. Otherwise, it's up to a locksmith that deals with combination locks.
