The microwave suddenly stopped heating. It is functioning normally in every way except it's unable to heat food and liquids, so it appears that it isn't producing micro-waves. It sounds like it goes into it's heating/resting phases, but doesn't heat at all.
Was it the magnetron. Ours just gave up the ghost(heat) yesterday.
This just happened to ours as well. Apparently the magnetron (device that creates radio waves that heat the food) is broken. I'm trying to pry the darn thing out of our kitchen now so I can replace the magnetron. Look for this part WB27X10489 on Google. I found it on ebay for $65. If it fixes the problem I'll post again.
It happened to me too. Thanks for the part #.

I have the same problem. It is not heating at all. Same unit
I have the same problem, it was working fine then just like that it runs but not heating. Ours is about 7 yrs old, any idea how much a fix is, or even is?
Thanks
