I lost the 120v AC charging adapter for Prostart #6059 when I moved.

Prostart was from Pepboys around 2000-2001 but it is still working . The booklet has no contact info. It offers 580 peak amps. Can I go to Radio shack for a generic 120v ac charging adapter? I keep trying to look up online Prostart but to no avail.

barrel pin 12v 500Ma is correct. the only other required stat that you need to know is that the polarity is( ---------that's how the inside pin polarity is shown on the transformer. Go to any radio Shack, and they have this charger in stock. tell them you need a 120v. a/c input, 12v. DC 500 ma output, with the center (inside) pin positive( ).It should be less than $20.00

i lost mine to couldn't fined one so i found a 12v dc 1.2amp with a + tip that was on a little portable tv,it works just fine

Unfortunately nowhere. If you look by the charging port, there is often a sticker that shows volts, amps and polarity. With that you can buy from Amazon or eBay.

Problem charging MAGELLAN GPS.
I found there are select 120v AC adapters that will work on Magellan GPS. When a working 120v or 12v adapter to mini USB adapter is plugged into the unit, the battery bars will be 'scrolling' and therefore charging.

When your adapter, or even USB cable from your computer, is plugged into the GPS unit, and the battery goes to FULL, it is NOT CHARGING. The battery bars must be SCROLLING for the unit to charge. In this case, get a different adapter until it works.

This was tested on a Magellan 1412, and may apply to other Magellan GPS.

Need AC power cord for task force model 202754 tire inflator
This a battery jump pack that is used to jump start a car. Some units have an ac adapter built in so you can charge the battery in the jump start pack. My unit has a spot to connect the ac adapter to the jump pack so you can charge the battery in the jump pack. My ac adapter has been lost. I know I have to buy a new ac adapter so I can charge my jump pack, what I do not know is if the input (from the ac adapter) is 120v 60 hz
I understand that the DC output needs to dc12v. I do not understand the milliamps. The battery in the jump box is 12v 10 ah ( what ever that is). I just want a new ac adapter to charge the jump pack with that is not going to damage anything.

This could be an AC adapter problem.Use another same rating adapter for teating.Check your ac adater volt and ampere at output terminals using a good quality digital multimeter. If OK, check the battery also. Then only suspect motherboard and power jack. Hope this helps

The Philips Norelco Bodygroom BG2040, does this model support multi-voltage charging ie. 100v - 240v? Or is it only 100-120v?

Will Not charge with brand new a/ power cord it will at times power on if moved the right way but quickly powers off if moved the port inside looks to be fine But I hear there is a pin type thing inside...
The problem is with the AC adapter itself and is a very common problem with Dell AC adapters. My suggestion would be to get an aftermarket AC adapter that can be purchased on eBay as the Dell adapter is around 100.00. You can pick up an aftermarket one on eBay for around 20.00. The problem is a resistor inside the AC adapter that senses when a Dell branded adapter is inserted. What happens is that the resistor will get damaged and since it doesn't recognize the charger as a Dell branded one anymore it won't charge. However it will still run the laptop as long as it's connected. A lot of aftermarket AC adapters bypass this function and work perfectly fine.

Lost ac adapter
If you are trying to guess at an adapter, and plugging them in to see if they work, you run the risk of ruining your machine. With the blinking lights its not booting correctly, so I hope your not smelling smoke too. Nevertheless, you need a 9-12 dc output adapter (with I believe the negative on the inside). Your describing the input of 120V 60HZ, all of them say this since that is the power that is coming out of your wall socket. Look on the back of your machine at the connection and it will show you the polarity via a little diagram imprinted in the plastic(if the negative goes in the center or outside of the plug) This is the most important part, if it is backwards you will fry your machine, if you have not already.
